This paper describes the goals and methods of the Public Health Research component of Healthy People 2010. Research on the Health Behavior and Medical Careers tracks is described. Target populations include youth, racial and ethnic minorities, persons with disabilities, and the elderly. Recommendations are made for each of the sub-objectives. A sample research agenda for the year 2010 is presented for each target population. The importance of integrating basic and clinical research and an emphasis on the use of advanced statistical techniques and study designs are discussed. Make and Take Cupcake Decorating Kit
The following is a repost of an item posted about 6 months ago, but I didn't have a chance to post until now.
I received this cupcake kit in the mail a few weeks ago, but I didn't have time to take a picture of it then. Sorry! In case you were wondering, it is available through Simon Says Stamp, here.
Anyway, this kit is very cute and practical, for two reasons: 1) the cupcakes are all made from plain paper (not frosted), so you can just take them out and eat them, and 2) there's a rubber band attached to the cupcake wrappers, to keep them together, and you just use your fingertip to remove them from the cupcake liner.
It's easy to put together (although it does take awhile for the confetti to dry), and the cupcake wrappers are made from cardstock, so they are very sturdy.
